Hypnum Sheet Moss is a versatile, mat-forming moss widely used in terrariums, vivariums, paludariums, and naturalistic displays. It forms a soft, dense carpet of bright to deep green foliage that spreads across soil, rocks, driftwood, and backgrounds. Its ability to retain moisture while creating a natural forest-floor appearance makes it one of the most popular mosses for enclosed ecosystems.

Hypnum Sheet Moss is highly valued for creating natural ground cover in tropical terrariums. It helps maintain humidity, reduces substrate drying, and provides shelter for microfauna such as springtails and isopods. It can also be attached to rocks, driftwood, and vertical backgrounds to create lush green landscapes.
Care Requirements
Light:
Thrives in low to medium indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can dry and scorch the moss.
Humidity:
Prefers high humidity levels of 70–100%. Closed terrariums provide ideal conditions.
Watering:
Keep consistently moist using filtered, RO, or dechlorinated water. Never allow the moss to dry out completely.
Temperature:
Grows best between 15°C and 26°C.
Substrate:
Can grow on soil, rocks, wood, cork bark, and other moisture-retaining surfaces.
