Asparagus Fern brings delicate, feathery elegance to any space with its fine, lacy foliage. This South African native thrives indoors in hanging baskets or as a stunning filler in floral arrangements. Easy to care for, it flourishes in bright, indirect light with well-drained soil and moderate watering. The plant features small berries and thorns that can cause mild irritation, so we recommend wearing gloves when handling. Perfect for adding texture and visual interest to your terrarium and can be placed on aquarium with only roots submerged
Appearance: Feathery, fine-textured sprays of tiny, needle-like leaves (actually flattened stems called cladodes) on wiry, scrambling stems with small thorns.
Growth: Can become a woody climber, reaching several meters, but often kept bushy in indoors, terrarium & aquarium
Produces small, greenish-white flowers and later, small red berries that turn black, which are toxic if eaten.
Light: Bright, indirect light; avoid direct, hot sun.
Soil growth : Well-draining, loose, slightly acidic soil (pH 6-6.5). Keep soil moist but not soggy; water when the topsoil feels dry; reduce watering in winter.

Water growth : half-land, half-water Wash the roots before placing the roots in water allowing stems and feathery foliage to grow out of the water, but full submersion isn't ideal long-term for underwater growth.

Humidity: Prefers humidity but can tolerate average indoor levels; misting helps.
Fertilizer: Feed lightly once a year in spring with a balanced liquid fertilizer.
